FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We always recommend using Velcro™ brand commercial strength Velcro. It’s easy to find at your local hardware store and it means you can take your Dry-Erase stall plaques away to shows with you. If you do decide to drill through your plaques, make sure to use rubber washers between the screw heads and the surface. Either method of attachment is fine; we just like the idea of using the plaques both at home and away and to do that, you need Velcro.
Depending on the marker type you use, your writing will last longer or be easily removable. For information that changes daily, use a standard dry-erase marker. For information you want to last longer, try using a WET-ERASE marker. Dry-erase markers are great when you update information frequently. Wet-erase are a great substitute when you want longer lasting writing.
We also recommend “chisel tip” markers because they are more precise.
Store markers horizontally and always make sure caps are closed.
Horse show weather is at best, unpredictable, so you need your information to stick. We recommend using a black wax pencil in high-humidity horse show weather. It can be easily removed with a bit of dish soap and water. Important information will stay when you need to leave.
1. If you use another type of marker on your board and it stains, this is outside of our control. If someone writes with a permanent marker, you can use a regular dry-erase marker to remove it; just color over it and the ink will dissolve the permanent marker.
2. While we know you will get a good amount of use out of these products, it is still good for you to erase and re-write every couple of months
Use dish soap only with water. Do not use any chemicals. While it won’t have an immediate effect, over time, repeated use of things like alcohol may affect the integrity of the surface.
3. Fastening to stalls is left to your discretion. We recommend Velcro™ brand commercial strength dot rolls.
